An authorised official must sign the renewal to declare that you are a current member of that particular Club\/Association<\/li>\n<li>attend any VicRoads Customer Service Centre to pay the renewal fee<\/li>\n<li>A club permit will be cancelled if not renewed within 90 days of the expiry date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Club Permit certificate is to be attached to the nominated page in the Club Permit logbook but only after payment has been processed and the certificate stamped by VicRoads. Information about the responsibilities and obligations of club permit holders including how to renew, extend, change and advise VicRoads of modifications to vehicles operating on a club permit<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Vehicle Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A club permit can be issued to the vehicles in the following categories.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Classic and Historic vehicles &#8211; manufactured after 31 December 1930, but more than 25 years before the date of the application for a club permit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Replicas of vehicles in the categories above may also be issued with a club permit. A club permit vehicle must comply with the Vehicle Standards, appropriate to the date the vehicle was manufactured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A club permit cannot be issued to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>a currently registered vehicle<\/li>\n<li>a vehicle that is recorded on the Victorian or an interstate Written-off Vehicles Register<\/li>\n<li>a vehicle that has a sheriff&#8217;s office or hoon sanction or that is stolen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Checking the vehicle&#8217;s safety<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To assist clubs with inspecting vehicles and determining whether they are safe for use on the road, Vic Roads have developed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/~\/media\/files\/formsandpublications\/registration\/guideline_vehicle-safety_inspection_checklist.pdf?la=en\">Guideline Vehicle Safety Inspection Checklist<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Calculating the vehicle&#8217;s manufacture date<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>If your vehicle is fitted with an Australian compliance plate, the plate date is the date of manufacture<\/li>\n<li>If your vehicle is fitted with an import compliance plate or has no compliance plate, the date of manufacture is determined by a manufactures build plate, a chassis number or documentary evidence from the manufacturer&#8217;s records<\/li>\n<li>If your vehicle does not meet either of the above requirements, Vic Roads may determine the manufacture date based on information sourced from our registration database, historical data, or evidence from our vehicle safety and compliance expert.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Do you need a Certificate of Roadworthiness?<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>All club permit vehicles manufactured after 1 January 1949 require a Certificate of Roadworthiness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Do you need a Vehicle Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS) Club Permit approval certificate?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">You&#8217;ll need to get a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/registration\/vehicle-modifications-and-defects\/vehicle-modifications\/vass-approval-certificate\">Vehicles Assessment Signatory Scheme (VASS)<\/a> Club Permit approval certificate when the vehicle:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>is modified outside what is permitted in the Vehicle Standards or the guidelines OR<\/li>\n<li>wasn&#8217;t originally produced for the Australian market (no compliance plate and\/or previous Australian registration history) and was manufactured after 31 December 1968<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/~\/media\/files\/documents\/safety-and-road-rules\/vsi33_guidelines_for_modifications_to_cps_vehicles.pdf?la=en\">VicRoads\u2019 Guidelines for modifications to vehicles operated under Victoria\u2019s Club Permit Scheme (VSI33)<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Victorian Club Permit Scheme required forms<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Once you have your RWC or VASS certificates as per the \u2018Vehicle Eligibility\u2019 section above, download and complete the VicRoads required forms:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/~\/media\/files\/formsandpublications\/registration\/club_permit_vesd.pdf?la=en\">Vehicle Eligibility and Standards Declaration for Club Permit Vehicles form<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Vehicle Eligibility and Standards Declaration for Club Permit Vehicles form<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>This form must be signed by a Club Safety Officer\/Scrutineer declaring the vehicle is safe for use on the road and meets relevant vehicle standards requirements<\/li>\n<li>For post 31 December 1949 vehicle, the Club Safety Officer\/Scruntineer can only sign this form if the Certificate of Roadworthiness (RWC) is current and valid (within 30 days).<\/li>\n<li>You must provide the original document to VicRoads with the club permit application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/~\/media\/files\/formsandpublications\/registration\/club_permit_application.pdf?la=en\">Club Permit Application Form<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Club Permit Application form<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>The Club Permit Application form must be signed by you and;<\/li>\n<li>the Club President, Treasurer, Secretary or Permit Scheme Officer as an authorised officer of the approved vehicle club indicating you are a financial member of the vehicle club or association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The club permit application must be signed and dated and received within 30 days of the declaration date on the Vehicle Eligibility and Standards Declaration for Club Permit Vehicles form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Documents that you need to submit with your application<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/licences\/evidence-of-identity\/types-of-identity-documents\">evidence of identity<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Original completed Club Permit Application form<\/li>\n<li>Original completed Vehicle Eligibility and Standards Declaration<\/li>\n<li>An original <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/registration\/roadworthiness\/get-a-certificate-of-roadworthiness\">Certificate of Roadworthiness<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/registration\/limited-use-permits\/club-rally-and-unregistered-vehicle-permit-fees\">Payment of fees<\/a> that will include the TAC, Registration fee and log book fee<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of ownership or management of the vehicle<\/li>\n<li>An original <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicroads.vic.gov.au\/registration\/vehicle-modifications-and-defects\/vehicle-modifications\/vass-approval-certificate\">VASS Approval Certificate<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Note: All documents must be original, certified copies or fax are not accepted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Club permit holders must:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Ensure that the vehicle is only used for private use and is not used for commercial use<\/li>\n<li>Ensure they are familiar with their particular club\u2019s requirements for club permit holders<\/li>\n<li>Ensure they are familiar with the log book requirements<\/li>\n<li>Maintain financial membership of the club at all times whilst holding a club permit<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the log book and permit is carried in the vehicle at all times the vehicle is in use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Left\u00a0 hand drive club permit vehicles must not be used on the road at night unless all the required lamps, including dipping headlamps, are fitted and suitable for right hand drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Use of Victorian Club Permit vehicles interstate<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Club permit vehicles may be driven throughout all States and Territories (except Western Australia) provided the vehicle complies with Victorian requirements for the holding of the club permit.<\/li>\n<li>Victorian club permit vehicles cannot be used on W.A. roads as they are considered to be unlicensed in Western Australia (unlicensed is the same as unregistered in Victoria).<\/li>\n<li>Operators wishing to participate in outings in Western Australia you should request that the appropriate Western Australian club officials obtain a permit (a fee may be required) from the Licensing Branch in Perth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\"
